Inspiring the youth of new generations is one of the most important things we can do as adults. In a world which currently favors the pure study of core math/science skills, it is important that we allow young people to also expand the creative side of their minds. Many traditions favor a very structured/disciplined approach to music study. While I feel that this is an important component when learning how to play an instrument, I believe that this must be balanced by an emphasis on how to be creative with these same learned skills. A combination approach of discipline and creativity can stimulate learning at an accelerated pace and create a more well rounded musician in the end.
I am developing a curriculum based on my teaching philosophy, and will be offering it to select students in the near future. Please contact me if you are interested and wish to be placed on a waiting list for this unique opportunity.
